At last, The Memory Choir members are getting back together again to sing and reconnect with friends and the wider community. It has been a bitter sweet time over the recent months, and sadly lost choir members far too soon, but we will always remember them.
I think over the last 18 months, I have had to try and create ways on how to reach out to Memory Choir members so that we could help each other stay positive and connected. I did this mainly through Facebook and with the support of MIND, Zoom choir sessions.
I’m excited to report that there are new Memory Choir members in Hampshire, and love how they have embraced the uplifting experience of singing as a group.
July was ‘Rocks Against Dementia’ month, and I was honoured to deliver a Memory Choir session to ROMDAG. The sun was blazing, and it was a very hot day, but the group sang fantastically.
